Nokia has officially announced the store OVI, the cellphone maker’s response to services like the Apple Stores and Application Center RIM.

Scheduled to be open in May, the service will combine the current content download! WidSets Mosh and OVI in the platform of Nokia, which allows people to buy games and other applications for S40 and S60 phones. Users also have access to the widgets, podcasts, videos, and personalized downloads.It is said that particular emphasis will be placed in the store in the location and contents of the current location of the person. Buyers may pay for the downloads through credit card or telephone billing.

While access to the store OVI will be made available to existing devices, the first phone to be preloaded with support for the N97 OVI is scheduled for launch in June. Among the companies that deliver content to the store are included Fox, Electronic Arts and Facebook, among others.
