Sony Vaio Z With Quad SSD drive

Sony introduced Tuesday the new Sony Vaio Z, a powerful laptop with an innovative feature: a Quad 128GB SSD drive. With a Quad SSD data in parallel at four different SSD’s written, making the Sony Vaio Z would be much faster than laptops with a normal hard drive. Thus, transferring files compared to 6.2 times faster with a 5400rpm hard drive.
The Sony Vaio Z is equipped with a longer 13.1 inch screen, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 4GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GT330M video chipset with 1GB GDDR3 VRA. The new Dynamic Hybrid Graphics System of the Sony Vaio Z optimizes performance based on the applications used.In AUTO mode the system automatically switches between the ideal system conditions in terms of speed or battery life.
The new Sony Vaio Z series is also energy efficient. Thus a light sensor automatically adjusts the backlight with the changing of the ambient light. Using a power button screen backlight can quickly be turned off when not needed while working. Sony on the front panel also has a HELP button mounted. This button gives direct access to VAIO Care, a program that helps identify and solve any problems. VAIO Care helps in restoring data even if the laptop does not boot.
The Sony Vaio Z series is available from March 2010 (week 11) and the retail price is Euro 1900.
